Dr. Aysha Al Sayar

Dr. Aisha Al Sayar is a true pioneer of education and human development in the United Arab Emirates.

As the first Emirati woman to earn a university degree and complete her post graduate studies to earn a PHD in the Philosophy of History, she has been a part in establishing various institutions and initiatives, held leading positions in many and received multiple awards.

A few of her achievements:
  • Assistant Undersecretary for central and educational activities at the Ministry of Education in UAE
  • Head of the foreign relations committee at the UAE Business Women Council
  • A founding member of the General Women’s Union
  • Founder of the Arab Children Forum
  • Secretary-General of the Sharjah Girls Clubs
  • Founder of the Special Needs Education Program
  • Received the Leadership in women’s volunteer work award (1986)
  • Received the Rashid Award for Academic Excellence (1989)
  • Honored as a Pioneer of social work (1994)
  • Received the Sheikh Khalifa Award for Teachers (1996)
  • Received the Dubai Business Women’s Club Award (2002)
